Music Video for a Friend

This clip is a test/preview of an upcoming music video for my mate. His genre is currently flipping from breakbeat to electro, often with ties to D'n'B or dubstep.

From the stuff I've heard already, Woodrophenia seems very switched on when it comes to the production trends of today,  I just look forward to seeing a Myspace page with +1000 friends. Easily possible for this experimental young'un. Keep an eye on this chap.

This is my personal favourite track of his:

For the video, I used Final Cut Pro. It took about 2 weeks of daily work. I'm currently learning how to use After Effects at the moment as it's a lot more versatile (and quick). A friend of mine said using FCP was like:

"Imagine, you've got like a lovely roast dinner, yeah? But instead of cutlery, you've got rocks. It's like having something that has great potential but reaching it will be bloody tedious."

I think it was this unique view that gave me that much needed epiphany... I could be working so much faster!

Dont you just love this old VHS static?

I plan to implement it in my next project...
