Breach - Fatherless

My new love is for Breach and his samba 2-step which makes me wanna jump and down. Breach is from London and he calls this new phenomenon Dubhouse. We only have 2 tunes from him atm, but we are very excited for more. The main tune is Fatherless and has very heavy Brazilian influences, which you will find on The Fatherless EP.

Here is his second tune called Man Up, which is the b-side on this great record. It will still get your arse dancing, but it just can't top the genius of fatherless.

It's coming on vinyl very soon from Chemical Records, so keep updated on this link.

The B-Side Project. NE-Xcuse.

Whether you are a band, solo artist, or producer, this is the project for you.

The first 30 original artists to enter will be then paired up with the first 30 dance music producers to create remixes with a startling difference.
The entry deadline is Thursday 30th September. It's a first come first served basis for the places so act quick! You can get to the B-Side Project page here. Also, check out NE-Xcuse here. It's an amazing, possibly life changing opportunity for you or your band to reach new heights of recognition.

I'll be making a promo video for the whole project stretching across the country, travelling everywhere with the touring artists, documenting every detail and condensing it into 5 minute episodes. So far the project is sponsored by Psonar and Soultree. They're building up more sponsorships though. Hopefully I'll be able to get some decent camera equipment out of one of them for some extra polish on the promo. Cant wait. It's gonna be intense.

Me and a friend will be filming and editing. I'm taking inspiration from A Cross the Universe, Part of the Weekend Never Dies and XLR8R TV. Expect something beautiful.

Entry deadline: 30th September 2010
Introduction Event: Sunday 3rd October 2010 at Soul Tree (8pm-12am)
Remix deadline: Friday 29th October 2010
Judging Event: Wednesday 3rd November 2010 at Soul Tree (7pm-9pm)
Showcase & Awards Event: Wednesday 24th November at Soul Tree (9pm-3am)

BLAZERFLAME

Recently come across this American artist known as Blazerflame, he has a mixture of styles ranging from Fidget House to just plain old filth.

This is a very different remix of the commercial smash hit 'memories', it combines the vocals of Kid Cudi with filth and removes the David Guetta to great effect.

David Guetta Feat. Kid Cudi - Memories (Blazerflame's Bazz Therapy Remix) by D. Bokle

Next remix is a Tony Senghore track called 'If you came here', the original is full of suspense and never really drops, but still a very good track. However Blazerflame makes it drop, however it is completely different to the first remix but 100% just as enjoyable.

Tony Senghore- If You Cam here (Blazerflame's Windin' Sh*t Up RMX) by D. Bokle

I hope to see more from our American friend, but for the mean time both tracks are up for free download on the Soundcloud.

And On the Sixth Day God Created MANchester

Hi.
It's been so long. I'm sorry. You see, I've started full time work. It's a cold hearted bitch that stops you frequenting all your favourite things... But now I've sunk into the routine, I've found the time to write again. Finally!

So. Since my friend, Harry last posted on here, I've been working on stuff too - more vid-art to be precise. I've given into nostalgia once again and fallen in love with acid house. And even more so, the news reports on it.

"Theres a determination to, snuff out, the Acid-House craze. But that runs the risk of driving it deeper, and deeper underground."

I've decided to create a video project based on the Manchester (or, 'MADchester') Acid-House scene. Ideally, I'm aiming for a style reminiscent of primary/secondary school educational video tapes - you know, the grainy tracking, the shoddy editing, the clashing colour schemes... I wanted to make something that tells three stories at once. The raving, the policing and the fashion.

Beneath is a preview. It's still in production, and all the footage is from either old documentaries or news features.

Dubbel Dutch "Throwback"

Unfortunately, yesterday, I think my copy of Final Cut Pro realised it was dodgy. It keeps requesting a serial and denying anything I type in. The production of the video is on a stand still at the moment but it should give me some time to plan it more. To keep myself in the mood (literally and metaphorically), I've found myself listening to A LOT of music. My three faves are below.
