London Fashion Week Part 2

Joe is king of the castle.

I just passed up an offer for Paris Fashion Week. The reason? No reason. I've done this before. Sometimes I just get a preminition that I don't want to go somewhere, for a reason. Well, I have it this time. Last time it was a trip to Marrakech with my Photography class. I don't know why I didn't go, I could afford to. Maybe I'm just scared of being somewhere without my family, I don't think I've ever really been on a proper holiday without my family.

Also, the group we'd be with don't sound great, I can't explain it. Apparently they havn't got invites to the shows, we have to sneak our way in or something. I don't like the idea of sneaking into fashion shows, if I want to go to a show, I want to earn my place. I want there to be room, I don't want people to be pushing me out of the way or giving me evil shoulder glances. I want MY own, personal fashion world to be respectful. Instead of going me and Holly, my makeup friend, are going to organise a photoshoot or two. And it's going to be very good.

You see, the fashion world I have seen is..different to how I imagined it when I read my first Vogue on the back of a coach on a school trip to Calais. I remember seeing a world where the placement of a bracelet is SO important, SO final that it makes you pinpoint the same subtleties in everyday life, in the style of people around you. It made me notice how people act through their fashion, how they try to show themselves to the world, and how the world lets them in as a result of it.

It made clothes important. Not clothes, the dream of perfection/fantasy. It made it something that's not just "arty" or "creative" but something that truly mattered, which I could do for my life's work and be appreciated for.

So. If I did go to Paris Fashion Week, I'd want it to be for work, not pleasure. Because I am not really a fashionista, I have the same work ethic as Rankin who described himself as a "workaholic". And my Dad. And my Uncles. And most of my family, come to think of it.

I'm watching The Orphan on telly.

With some soup.

So here's the final shots from London Fash Week, enjoii

Joe Fox, a dear friend of mine, being king of the jungle at Pam Hogg's after party

Pandemonia being cool yeh/ I offered her some wine but she politely declined. Even though I added a straw just in case

Some men..

What is it like..ski wear? Who wants to bung an ice-thing on his face. Snowflake.

I LOVE SHEPARDS PIE. Moving on

YES YES YEESSS!!
That was me coming at the blue backlight. Look at the women! Their heads! LOVE it.

I know it's supposed to be like...she's a freak and everything but I love how she dresses. The Orphan, I mean. She wears like..ribbons round her neck and little Victorian dresses and stuff, and she's so polite. And she paints. And she knows the word Fuck! I'd adopt her.

This guy was the guy who gave me a loiter, and I want him.

A male clutch, like it.

I think I like the colour palette, do I? Hard to tell with me I'm a sucker for blues and greys. And violet.

I prefer this one

I like this whole kimono/dressing gown thing going on.

This guy, what's his name? Couple of people on my Facebook have mentioned they know him. Apparently he's the sweetest guy in the world :) Rory McKee.

This guy is James Allen, who I didn't know I knew until he tagged himself and we were walking inches away from each other. How fickle!

Nice to be important, importtant to be nice and all that

They look like the badies from 101 Dalmations

Will Westall being gorgeous. I only know his name through Facebook tagging, but still it's cool to know people.

Some Esquire boys handing out leaflets and that. Nice to have walking sculptures lurking around while you're enjoying a fag or two.

Some guy being important and stuff.

My friend Nick getting his photo taken for like the millionth bloody time. Just cause he's a lanky fuck.

Some fashionable guy being fashionable.

You know how someone's back just strikes you as interesting? I liked this girl. I never saw her face, like a dream, maybe this is how it should be.

Nick about 5 minutes before someone else snatched him up for a "street style" photo. Thanks guys. I'm not eating for another month.

This is what happens when you bring cakes out in the press tent.

Ok, so how come most movies these days end up with a main character putting 1 and 1 together and doing a GOOGLE search to end up finding the answer. Is that how they found the storyline? Did they type in "ideas for movies" on Google, then the main character IN the movie has to type in the same thing and the whole plot is based on Wikipedia? Even Twilight has that, she Googles the answer. Also White Noise, err..what else. I dunno. Doesn't anyone read books? Even in movies?

Oh hi Hilary, got a light? Yeah I'm good thanks. Ciao darling.

Hanna touching a rock hard cock.

This guy is half the man you are.

"yah so I said to her that was sooo cliché and she just..didn't get it, ugh"

We saw Alexandra Burke walking around and didn't know who it was at first. She looks like a darker Anna Wintour, seriously. She was nice though, very polite to the pappos.

Some Exhibition stuff

Really liked the hair here

There were people like this everywhere at fashion week. Never quite made front row. Never spoke to anyone.

Hello gorgeous.

So uhh..Matthew Josephs has cut his hair and gone for a Monk look. Fair enough.

Anyway so the movie's still going and is still a bit shit, also my shepards pie is finished. I think I made the right choice in not going to fashion week, I hope I did. As long as I can do some good photoshoots or it, maybe that'll make it worthwhile. Yeah? I hope so.
