The idea was similar to the way La Roux became famous - Through Skream. Initially her tracks weren't so 'big' until Skream came along and remixed In For The Kill. Hardly any vinyls of the remix were never pressed but loads of DJs were desperate to get their hands on it. Some went on sale for over £200 on Ebay. Through this whole process, La Roux's recognition went up like a rocket.
B-Side aims to popularise the bands in the same way, having producers remix their preferred track of the band their set up with (chosen in a raffle).
It seems like an amazing opportunity for all the artists involved - it's a win/win situation. To help it along even more however, we have P'sonar and Ableton sponsoring us. Two big names in music distribution and production. As sponsorships are still coming in, me and Harry are hoping their's some way of getting some techy filming gear.... Please....
